"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." - Henry Stanley Haskins
About Me
I received my Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1990, and completed my internship at The Institute of Living in Hartford, Connecticut. After that I worked at a variety of institutions in St. Louis, including: The Behavior Medicine Unit at St. Louis University, Provident Counseling, Hawthorn Children’s Psychiatric Hospital, and St. Anthony’s Hospital. In 2000 I began private practice, and currently manage a small health and wellness suite in Des Peres, MO.
In 2019 I felt a strong calling to add Earth-based understanding to my practice and attended an intensive year-long program at the Earth-Based Institute out of Colorado. In addition to being a Clinical Psychologist, I am now also a certified, professional Nature-Connected coach, where I blend the power of coaching with the power of nature to help people transform their lives and live out their deepest needs.

I am also a wife and the mother of three children, all of whom are young adults, and two of whom are adopted. In addition to parenting our own children, my husband and I have parented two international high school students. One was from Russia, the other from Thailand.
In 1996 I began an International Humanitarian organization that brought medical specialists and surgeons to a town in Siberia, Russia.
I have a background in Wilderness Guiding, and love nature, hiking, backpacking, and tent camping. I also have two dogs. Volunteerism has been an important part of my life, and I am grateful to have been a volunteer with a variety of organizations including the Humane Society and BJC Hospital Hospice.
